He did live some time for a rabbit, though I had of course hoped he might live forever. He shall be remembered in a funeral on Monday afternoon, and I hope that you will attend.

I am sure you are quite sad as he was with you for ten years. I hope you take comfort that the fact he lived so long a life was a testament to the loving, excellent care that you provided.
