Hi — How are you? Crazy news over the weekend, wasn't it, about the Santa Antonina? I hope you didn't have any family or friends onboard. Let me know if you need anything.

So you ought to get a formal invitation for it this week, but my sister Grace is debuting on the 23rd and I would really appreciate if you could come, if you don't already have a conflict. Grace is one of my favorite people in the world, but she can get really nervous around strangers, so this ball is going to be quite the ordeal for her. She'd probably be happier to debut at a book reading but of course that's not what's done. Anyway, I know you don't know her well but I'm sure it would mean the world to her to have another familiar face for the evening, and she did seem to get along with you so well during dinner (before the thing with my brother, anyway).

I know a debutante ball probably isn't your ideal evening but you do sort of owe me. Hope to see you there? If you can't then of course that's fine, and don't worry about it, but if you can.

I didn't know anyone onboard — or I suppose that if I did we are not close enough for me to have heard. I hope you don't know anyone there either?

I'm happy to go to Grace's debut, she was very nice & I can only imagine how much worse those debutante balls are if everyone is looking at you the whole time. I'll see you there.

PS: No, I didn't know anyone onboard, thankfully (or, like you said, if I do I didn't know they were going on a cruise). A lot of Ministry folks have gotten tasked with the rescue efforts, though, which has meant people are getting shifted around and we're all very busy trying to make up for them being away, so I ought to have lots of stories to tell you the next time we see each other at the club. If you're interested in hearing stories about ghosts, anyway.
