Welcome to Charming, where swirling petticoats, the language of flowers, and old-fashioned duels are only the beginning of what is lying underneath…
After a magical attempt on her life in 1877, Queen Victoria launched a crusade against magic that, while tidied up by the Ministry of Magic, saw the Wizarding community exiled to Hogsmeade, previously little more than a crossroad near the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. In the years that have passed since, Hogsmeade has suffered plagues, fires, and Victorian hypocrisy but is still standing firm.
Thethe year is now 1895. It’s time to join us and immerse yourself in scandal and drama interlaced with magic both light and dark.

Did You Know?
Did you know? Jewelry of jet was the haute jewelry of the Victorian era. — Fallin
it is so satisfying to know that spock and leonard nimoy would probably be best friends and play the lute together or something but jim kirk would absolutely beat the shit out of william shatner in an applebee’s parking lot
And I know I definitely have thought about how the actors/models I use are similar or dissimilar to the characters they "play" on Charming (notably, I picked Rafe Spall for Gideon not because of how he looks but rather because I found a quote of him talking about his kids that had a very Gideon Ollivander vibe). Do you also have these thoughts? This is a place to dump them, share them, or link gifs/memes of your playbys that are either very, very in character or very, very out of character.
I have already shared this with a few people but when I saw The 1975 in concert, they were performing The Sound and broadcast this review on the screen behind them:
This Band Thinks They Have A Charismatic Singer...
... They Are Mistaken
And Matt Healy looked at the screen, looked at the audience, and then gave this shrug like Whelp, nothing to be done about that, is there? And I just about died, it was so Alfred.
Hera Hilmar has this fun loving Ellory vibe and judging by the characters she played she'd be a great Ellory if she was portrayed in a TV series or something. Hera's voice is deeper than I imagine Ellory's to be though.

Alexander Skarsgard plays almost exclusively bad guys or anti-heros, and is sort of confident and weird and self-deprecating in interviews where he is ~himself. All of this (except the self-deprecating part) is very Not August of him.
Would probably be best friends, Evander and this guy:
Quote:I suppose I’m a bit awkward socially and don’t feel like I’ve got much personality... In my late teens/early twenties I had severe bouts of anxiety. [...] I’ve had panic attacks and didn’t really know how to deal with them.
Would want to beat him up in a parking lot, Jude and this dude:
Quote:Aside from modelling social media also plays an important part in your career. What message are you conveying to your viewers?
I have no idea, (laughs). I usually just take pictures in warm places with my shirt off, so I guess the message I’m conveying is that I like to be shirtless in warm places?
