Ellory was curious about these friends but Claude didn't say anything else about them. Then again, Ellory hadn't given him the roster of her inappropriate friends. In time, she would get to learn about them. Perhaps they could invite them over for dinner!

His next move came as a surprise to Ellory at first, but when she registered what he'd done, she decided that she liked it. Her upbringing had made her hungry for any form of physical touch. The wine had made it less awkward that the source was her cousin. It was only when she found herself in situations involving physical touch that Ellory understood how much she craved it.

She was blushing when she brought a hand on top of his. "That was kind of nice," she admitted. "You can kiss me if you'd like." It was very awkward but then all first kisses were awkward. It made it additionally awkward that they had to get physical at some point. Thankfully they weren't medieval mobility to have half the court witness their marriage's consummation, as she had read in her novels! In any case, their family would surely somehow discover whether they'd done the deed or not.

Claude could feel the moment change a little bit, his hand still resting on Ellory's leg, and now hers atop it. It was strange to think about, but he supposed he had enough wine by now to get past the awkwardness of it all. Not that he particularly needed wine, but it did help to dull the senses a little, loosen up the hesitations.

He finished off the small bit left in his glass and set it aside on the nightstand. Claude didn't want either one of them to look back on their wedding night and be disappointed. He then plucked her glass from her hand as well and put it next to his. Once things got started it was easy to continue, to get caught up in the moment, unless she stopped him for whatever reason, he didn't see why they couldn't pull this off tonight.

Readjusting to make things a little easier, he gently skimmed the hand on her leg up her torso and arm, up to her face. He waited just a beat to see her reaction, before he slid his hand back into her hair, angling her face up towards his so he could press his lips to hers. He planned to take it slow, no stranger to the art of seduction, as it were. Plus considering this was her first time, he didn't want to cause any unnecessary discomfort if he could help it.

Claude had taken the glass from her hand and Ellory knew where this would lead to. Her heart was beating fast and she felt flustered. A normal sort of reaction to what their interaction was leading to. It was somewhat exciting and somewhat scary. She liked Claude's touch, because it was a man's touch. If she pondered on it long enough, she'd feel awkward that this man was her cousin. So she blocked these thoughts away and focused on the moment. She could feel awkward in the morning. Then, she and Claude could find some spell or potion that blocked the feelings of awkwardness over bedding one's cousin.

Ellory let Claude lead the way and received his touches. She liked the sensations he caused her, especially after the initial pain, but she was a long way before taking control of her pleasure. It would all come with time. After all, they were supposed to be doing this until death did them apart.
