QWC Match One: Britain vs. Hawaii
With Longbottom distracting the Hawaiian, Tybalt managed to make it over to the other bludger. His bat was in his wrong hand now and he'd not been having much luck before getting beaten up by the bludgers, but all the same he took a swing towards the female chaser in possession.
C2 -> C1, attempted bludger at Kailani

There was little point in holding off!  Kaili took a breath and attempted to score!

@'ELSIE BEAUREGARD'

Esteban moved to block the shot.

Arthur tailed the injured chaser.

"Ohhh Longbottom makes himself useful, aiming at the Hawaiian seeker- and in a monumental miss, Kokoikikane is unable to defend his seeker; it's a hit and manages to knock her round hard enough to make her unsteady on her broom and leave a nasty bruise. That will probably be the only useful thing Longbottom does the rest of this match and even at that, it wasn't all that useful.

Hekekia takes off down the pitch with the quaffle, unbothered by even Kirke's bludger as that's a clear miss. He better hope if they win this match the first string beater is back on his game. Then maybe Britain will have at least one useful beater on the pitch.

She shoots- and Zavala blocks!

The quaffle is loose in the British score zone!

Ko grimaced as the bludger missed him by a mile. He hadn't been paying much attention to where it was headed, and unlike his last block he wasn't close enough when the English beater hit for it not to matter much.

Taking a moment to get reoriented, he changed course and flew off down the field.

[C1 > C2]

This wasn't their finest game, they had to do better. Kaimana heads for the British score zone in an attempt to reach the quaffle.

D3 -> C4

Kaili MISSED! With a growl of frustration, she pushed her broom forward to the free quaffle. Kaimana was coming up behind her! That was good The extra support would be useful to keep the pressure on. She flew into the British score zone and retrieved the quaffle and attempted to score again.

Esteban moved to block the Quaffle from going in.

Ko reached the nearest bludger and sent it off in the direction of the closest English chaser.

Rufus flew into the wind, steering straight as possible.

The ache of his shoulder didn't do enough to block out what the commentator was saying, and given how useless he had been this game Tyb was privately of the same opinion. Still, he couldn't give up and retire again until the game was over or he got well and truly knocked out, so he started flying, not close enough to get in between Pettigrew and the Hawaiian's bludger this time.

"Hekekia recovers the quaffle and takes aim again, but Zavala is an impenetrable wall, he blocks this shot too!

Pettigrew is in the Hawaiian beater's zone now, but the bludger narrowly misses I'm sure Pettigrew didn't think he was going to get that lucky even with Kirke's attempted intervention.

The quaffle is loose in the British score zone! Seekers can now attempt to catch the snitch!
