Mr. Keene,

You shall be pleased indeed to know that the Witches of Hogsmeade Hospital Association are hard at work preparing our annual spring luncheon and Chinese auction. Many of our members and friends have already procured antiques, and the letter-writing campaign to local businesses for other auction items. As always, individual auction tickets will be 1G, with per-guest plates priced at 3G.

My main inquiry is to any input you might have regarding the particular date and location. In the past, the luncheon has been held at the hospital proper, but I have often worried that such a thing is disruptive to staff and patients, and risks making guests uncomfortable. Therefore, I’d like to propose holding it in my own home—the garden is being re-done this month, and I should very much like an opportunity to put it to good use!

As to the date, the Association has decided the following dates would be most appropriate:

April 7th
April 12th
April 21st
April 23rd

Given that it would be unfitting for you to miss such an event, I thought it best that you cast the deciding vote where that is concerned. If there is another party better aware of your schedule, please do extend the question to them with my apologies for the oversight.

Please respond sooner than later, as haste, while not necessary yet, never hurts when planning any sort of fundraiser.

Sincerely,

Mrs. R. Mulciber
Head of the Witches of Hogsmeade Hospital Association

Mrs. Mulciber
As always, I am very appreciative of all you do for the hospital. All of your hard work and dedication does not go unnoticed.

I tend to leave such matters in my sister's very capable hands, however, I will take you up on your offer to host the event as I agree it can be a little tough to navigate both the auction and the daily business of the hospital at the same time. As for a date, thought I would hate to rush you, the seventh seems like the easiest date for me, as the month goes along I become increasingly unavailable. I do hope that is enough time to get everything in place.

Please let me know if you need any assistance, though I may redirect you to my sister, Catherine. A hospital I can run, an event is another matter entirely.

Thank you again,
Baxter Keene

Mr. Keene,

Find attached your pass for the event, and one for a guest, should you choose to bring one—your sister, perhaps? I look forward to seeing you on the seventh of April.

Sincerely,

Mrs. R. Mulciber
Head of the Witches of Hogsmeade Hospital Association
