okay he honestly has a lot of reasons to know people so HERE WE GO buckle up.

HOGWARTS - same year/house as Theodore Gallivan if that helps you place him in relation to your characters! Ravenclaw class of 86. He had a small but consistent friend group in his Hogwarts years, probably men his age and women slightly younger (friends of his sister). He was on the quieter side but nice enough.

HOSPITAL - Creature-Induced Injuries at Hogsmeade Hospital up until December 1893. Coworkers/etc. His sister also worked at/still works at Hogsmeade Hospital so he's still around occasionally, and if you had a particularly suspicious death at the hospital you might be looking him up for an autopsy.

ACTIVISM - he's been a regular at suffrage meetings/rallies/etc for a few years, ostensibly because his sister is involved but also he's not-not a feminist. Relatedly connected to the Greengrasses via Clem-friends. (he would claim his sister is the Clem-friend but in practice I don't think there's a meaningful distinction)

MINISTRY - if you work in Dept Magical Law Enforcement you probably work with him occasionally. He does the bodies. He's efficient and not trying to creep anyone out but I feel like some coworkers probably avoid him when they're not directly working with him anyway because ~death.~

WHITBYS - hi. hi hi hi.

Yay for dormmates! Theo was more outgoing back at Hogwarts so Calvin's quietness would not have stopped him making friends. Idk if Cal was always into quidditch to some extent or it's all post-Saffy but Theo might also be a good unsuspecting connection in that sphere. "oh you're really into quidditch now? huh okay" xD

Also yes def Tess overlap in the suffrage sphere! She's probably friendlier to fellow activist types than most other people, so he is welcome to innocuously dig for Saffy-details if he likes xD If he's hanging around the Whitby vicinity he may also have met her as their cousin "Archer"!

Yeah he was into Quidditch before too! Not interested enough to want to play but would've gone to games because it's the house spirit kind of thing to do and he doesn't dislike them. Def moved from "casual fan" to "got the season schedule memorized" post Saffron though.

In my heart he and his sister are like a package deal when it comes to rallies etc, just always called "the Paxtons" and his sister is much louder so everyone assumes whatever she says goes for both of them xD but yessss he's definitely down to listen in/chat up Tess any time at all. He'd be careful not to seem too interested in Saffy specifically but probably asks about family broadly any time he can without seeming odd. If he hasn't already met Archer he would like to, probably quietly thinks it's strange how elusive this guy is given that he's supposed to have an interest in the business >>

I'm not sure how much his "better than you" vibe was present in school but if he was giving that impression I could see Calvin being quietly exasperated with him, but conflict avoidant enough that they'd still be friends and Calvin would just occasionally make a sarcastic comment about it when Harry wasn't around xD Calvin would have been very interested in Harry being on the reform committee though and probably took him for drinks (along with his sister) on a few occasions to impress upon Harry that there's definitely a right answer here. Cal wouldn't have tried to pry info out of him or anything just always down to talk about suffrage.

And yes I definitely think he and Adam would know each other, both from the previous job + there might be infrequent overlap in the current one too if there were creature incidents that were happening illegally and involved death. Like London dragons much?

I think Harry tries to hide his superiority complex in company, but I don't think he's ever been very good at it. XD He means well, if that makes any difference. But honestly I'm down for any suffrage- and activism-related threads for Harry!

Cassius Lestrange - I am interested in a Noble/Calvin thread but we can slow roll that one while we do other things? I tentatively think it might be more interesting in the future (pending developments, idk, maybe) - but we have a lot of threads right now and I know this is a blegh time of year. xD I am also interested in Ivy/Zelda but not urgently! You already have 1/3 of his active threads lol so while I am keen for more I do not need to monopolize

Victoria Hunter - She started at the same time as his younger sister so he would probably think of her more as his sister's coworker than hers, despite their brief overlap. So if we had a thread it would probably be in that capacity - either him seeing her out and about or him coming by the hospital to do something for Charlotte and running into her.
