Welcome to Charming, where swirling petticoats, the language of flowers, and old-fashioned duels are only the beginning of what is lying underneath…
After a magical attempt on her life in 1877, Queen Victoria launched a crusade against magic that, while tidied up by the Ministry of Magic, saw the Wizarding community exiled to Hogsmeade, previously little more than a crossroad near the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. In the years that have passed since, Hogsmeade has suffered plagues, fires, and Victorian hypocrisy but is still standing firm.
Thethe year is now 1895. It’s time to join us and immerse yourself in scandal and drama interlaced with magic both light and dark.

Did You Know?
Did you know? Jewelry of jet was the haute jewelry of the Victorian era. — Fallin
Mason raised his glass and laughed. "Cheers to that." It wasn't like he was lounging around doing nothing with his time. His career was time-consuming and important, he wasn't going to abandon it to start hunting for a wife. "It'll happen, when it happens, if it happens." He mused. "I think I would be alright if it doesn't" He had never said as much aloud, but he really did think it would be fine if he was to never marry. His work carried him and he felt fulfilled by it and didn't feel like his life was lacking in any way. He was curious to see if Elliot thought the same, or if he would like to marry eventually.
They were different, of course; Mason was busy, and Elliot spent most of his time faffing about Wales and occasionally dabbling in falconry. "You're still young to decide it'll never happen," Elliot said, feeling like he was being sentimental — but someone ought to offer it to Mason. "Just keep yourself open."
"I don't think it's so much age," Mason chuckled, though he was nearing forty now. It was getting a little late to settle down and start a family at his age, but not impossible, he supposed. "More about opportunity. School is its own little bubble, not a lot of room for romance." Especially with the head of house position now and a decade under his belt. Hogwarts had been his home for more of his life than not now and he couldn't imagine doing anything else with his time.
"It's not off the table, but more like in a chair a table away." He laughed again and shrugged.
Elliot couldn't help but chuckle at Mason's metaphor. "I suppose that makes sense," he said, raising his glass to the other man in a sort-of-salute. Either Mason would find someone, or he wouldn't — either Elliot would find someone, or he wouldn't.
"Just don't go and get yourself betrothed to any students," he joked, a bookend on the earlier matter.
