Bram Colson

Contract Cursebreaker MCMN | G'81 | rep 8 | unattached Hello, it is I. Friends: Bram was an outgoing Gryffindor from 1874-1881 with a thirst to prove himself and find some sense of belonging in the magical world after his family started to give him the cold shoulder. He was best friends with George Gardiner (incoming adoptable who will have played family, get @me!) whose family took him in during the summer holidays for his last few years at school. He may have lost touch with people as he started his cursebreaking apprenticeship and subsequent travel, but he's back in Hogsmeade for the moment while he heals up from an injury, plenty of time to reconnect! Hurls: Not super open. He's Too Busy with work, but y'all know me XD Colleagues: Anybody in the artifacts business basically; he's a contract cursebreaker with Lost to Found by deSpell & Associates, who specializes in underwater extraction and cursed artifacts. I'm sure he's pretty familiar with both artifacts hospital wards, especially after his latest injury. If you have an artifacts healer who wants a longer-care patient, hit me up! Customers: Bram is pretty good at identifying and attempting to unlock cursed artifacts, so if you have something you want to take a look at, he's available! The company is also for hire to investigate sites for artifacts, even underwater! Patrons: Got some money you want to spend funding a trip? That's also in their realm of business! Wide open if you've got something you'd like to dive deeper into!

Isis Silverthorne - did an expedition to the wreck of the Tarturus - to retrieve some artifacts from the wreck. He could have been part of that trip. I've a few future plans for her to do a few more similar ventures. Happy for them to be friends, she is a fan of waifs and strays like her.

Thaddeus Flint - meddles with cursed objects a fair bit, so could have him on some sort of retained to handle or assess the objects they bring in, and while Thad isn't a curse breaker, the research side of curse breaking would definitely be of interest to him, so if Bram was ever in need of information Thad and the institute would be a source and interested to help.

Those both sound like some good professional contacts! He could have been involved in the wreck if somebody hired the firm to do some salvage and/or object evaluation for it? Bram enjoys the challenge of puzzling out the curses and research, so I could see him using the institute if they had the resources he would need!

Daesyn Mackenzie is a cursebreaker so would be a colleague of his. She is ten years younger and only became a full cursebreaker in late 1892 so he might have known her as part of her training. I feel like he would be her "type" so would certainly be up for flirting with him particularly if they are out of the country on missions together.

Salvatore Howlett would have been the year behind him in hogwarts and is a spell damage healer so could be someone he went to that he trusted as a healer but also wanted to keep his injuries of the books as it were. Salvatore wouldn't get involved in any of the cursebreaker messiness, but would heal up a friend in need.

Bram works for a specific company who he did his apprenticeship and training with! Does Daesyn work for the bank or someone else? Cursebreakers are all generally independently trained by whoever hires them, not like aurors at the ministry. They likely wouldn't have overlapped in a training capacity, but if she's local to Hogsmeade he's in the firm on desk duty for a little while until his leg heals up. He's not super open for romance at this point and is also generally pretty oblivious to flirting, but she's welcome to try!

As for Salvatore, he would make a good hospital contact! Bram's being treated for an artifact injury at the moment, so is in and out of the hospital for appointments.

I can handle one thread for the moment, so let me know who/what if you want me to start, or just go ahead and start something and tag me!

Ah, Daesyn is with Grimgotts as I only read that part of the cursebreaker descriptions haha. She's mostly London but is Scottish so hogsmeade is a regular haunt but I think their connection chance would be less likely than I imagined.

But Salvatore yeah that would be a fun connection, we can start something if you have space then

Oscar Daphnel is also a curse breaker, and he was yearmates with Thomasina Dempsey - I actually think they'd get along great because cursed artifacts?
