Excerpts from the Letters of Mrs. ML Prewett to Miss E Prewett
#1
The following are exccerpts of letters from one Mrs. Marie-Louise Prewett to one Miss Edleweiss Prewett. Letters are written weekly and include stories of the younger Prewett siblings and their father but are devoid of demanding questions that would require an answer. Sometimes they include small gifts along side.

Iris has once again asked your father for a horse. I doubt she has realized this is an uphill battle with your father. But I applaud her efforts. She has asked for riding lessons come the spring and I do not see why this would not be reasonable.

Mezereon once again snuck in to the kitchen to steal some of cook's figgy pudding. She was quite put out. In an attempt at peace making I taught Mezereon to make a replacement. We made two, one for the servants and one for our own supper. The result was quite tasty.

I had tea with your grandmother and aunt this afternoon. They both send their regards and well wishes. Young Miss Grace was with them as well. She quietly asked if I might send you her love as well. She is so very timid but it is obvious that she adores you.

Your cousin Grace had a most unfortunate encounter with a laughing potion. From my understanding her brother, Gideon, dared her to drink an aging potion which she mixed up with a laughing potion. My coworker, Mrs. Warbeck stepped in to help the poor things as they were quite certain, not knowing precisely what the potion was, that Grace had posioned herself. She is quite well and unharmed but I do believe it shall be some time before she feels she can laugh without worry.

Mr. Dorset joined us for supper last night at the invitation of your sister. The conversation was merry and full of adventerous stories of his time at Hogwarts. Iris was particularly taken with a story regarding his exploits in flying class.

I have included a shawl for you, for I remember how drafty can be this time of year and should hate to see you afflicted with a cold.
There is no mention that Malou herself has knitted this fine lace shawl.

Your Uncle Felix sends his regards. Iris invited him for supper Monday night and he was kind enough to accept the invitation. Indeed it proved to be quite the interesting evening as he imparted some news I believe may be of interest to you as well to us. He has decided to rent a bachelor's pad with a friend of his, one Mr. Alderton, whom works at the Prophet with him. He assured us he will write you a letter with his new address. I included it here as well for you.

Happy Easter! Your brother and sister send their love although I do hope they have also sent their own letters as I am sure you would much rather hear their own words. Please enjoy the treats, we have made sure to send enough for you to share if you should so choose.
The Easter package includes a large tin of cookies that Malou has made herself and a very large chocolate egg that when cracked is filled is a large assortment of candies and chocolates.

We enjoyed our Easter here, although you were very much missed. Our holiday was spent at your grandmother's enjoying the company of family. The children were quite happy that the weather was nice enough to hunt for eggs in the gardens and to indulge in the many treats throughout the day.
I hope you had enough treats yourself and that your holiday was even more joyful than ours.
