I put out the sentiment on Discord that I really wanted more unrequited romance in my Charming life and apparently this is something everyone feels. As discussed it's very difficult to make it happen organically because we're all saps with very lovable characters and keep ending up in requited relationships! And this is a problem!

So this thread here is like the marriage mart / hurling availability threads we've had previously, but only for characters who are ready to pine. Fill out the form with as many of them as you want to offer. There's only a form for the pining party because literally any character could be on the other side of an unrequited romance, that's the whole point xD So if you're skimming through and think "hey! that could be my character!" just quote them and reply, or find folks and pester them on Discord, or do whatever you want to get things moving. xD And obviously posting here is not an obligation for anything to happen, this is more along the lines of hurling posts than set plots~

Character:
Their Stats: Class/Blood, Age, Gender, Sexuality, Relationship Status (your character should be emotionally available to fall in love and pine but that doesn't mean they're actually available!)
They Could Fall For Someone Who: Traits/characteristics/etc of what you're looking for in the "other half" of this unrequited romance. Could also put things here like "big pro if they see you reading books on transfiguration" or something along those lines.
Their Dealbreakers: If any
Pining Style: Are they the sort who would act on something or keep it to themselves? Write anonymous letters, bad poetry, send gifts, make big gestures? Stalk someone? Let people know what they're in for if this becomes a thing xD
Timeline: Would your character fall in love quickly and easily, or is this a slow-burn over the next five years? Are they likely to move on in a few months when nothing comes of it, or will they be enamored with their crush until the end of time no matter what?

They Could Fall For Someone Who: Either gender, kind, especially someone who does dumb things for the sake of other people, curious disposition, looks like they'd be good at cuddling, makes or regularly has good tea & biscuits
Their Dealbreakers: Any indication that you're interested in having sex with her HA
Pining Style: try to spend time with them all the time and just be a Really Good Friend, get aggressively protective if anyone ever tries to badmouth them, be weirdly jealous about other people they're emotionally intimate with but also in denial about it, perhaps cuddling if things get really involved
Timeline: she will be in love with you for about two years before she even admits it to herself so don't expect things to happen quickly xD

Character: Xavier Davies
Their Stats: 33 MCHB weirdo, single man

So actually IDK exactly what his type is yet but in my head I'm picturing like an ethereal waifish debutante, like a 21yo blond girl who mostly cares about dancing and hair ribbons who would have nothing at all in common with him and no interest in creating any common interests hahaha
Their Dealbreakers: ???
Pining Style: Would keep it to himself but also might give you an anonymous weird gift like a windup clockwork mouse toy he spent three months making because he heard you say mice were cute once
Timeline: Could fall relatively quickly and stay infatuated for a while. I think he'd eventually move on in terms of not expecting anything to happen and not giving you weird presents anymore but would still always think about you wistfully :P

Character: Reuben Crouch
Their Stats: 33 MCPB married male fuckup
They Could Fall For Someone Who: Is female, around his age or younger (but not a teenager) and sympathetic to him. A conversation where he's able to be vulnerable and gets an understanding/kind/supportive response would do it real quick tbh.
Their Dealbreakers: having a snotty/catty personality, being too invested in Witch Weekly, being involved (friends, family, etc) with any of the prominent people in his life (Melody, his brothers, Art, etc)
Pining Style: He'll mostly keep it to himself and just make himself miserable. Depending on how things went he could do some kind of love actually confessional. He is very strongly against any physical unfaithfulness while he's still married to his wife but he's also a very physical person so not totally out of the question that he could try to kiss you at some point if he's intoxicated and in a mood to blow up his life. Also IDK if he'll stay married so! We will see!
Timeline: He could catch feelings pretty quickly but how things develop really depends on how things are with Melody, so big TBD on this one. If you're interested in being the other half here just stay flexible and ready for drama <3

They Could Fall For Someone Who: Spontanious, Romantic, Kind - but could delude herself that someone who is a jerk is actually nice 'underneath it all'
Their Dealbreakers: Unclear - obviously things like physical cruelty or definitive proof that they are are hateful would change things.
Pining Style: Trying to be friends, becoming a confidant - typical girl bestie stuff. Think Wesley's 'as you wish' from the princess bride.
Timeline: Probably fall pretty quick, but propriety would probably stop her saying anything without clear signal of reciprocity.


Character: Bernard Prewett
Their Stats:Pureblood - male - straight - single - 51 - grumpy seer
They Could Fall For Someone Who: The opposite of him - so sunny, smiley, optimist.
Their Dealbreakers: sharing his cynicism.
Pining Style: Protective, reliable - 'drive the length of the country to pick you up' sort of thing. He would never say anything, and if the lady was younger she would probably think of him in very paternalistic terms - much to his dismay.
Timeline: YEARS - once he lights on a lady he's probably stuck for good.


Character: Ginevra Blackwood
Their Stats: Pureblood - female - bisexual - 23 - social butterfly
They Could Fall For Someone Who:
Man : Older, probably sensible, serious, the opposite of her 'fun boys', possibly someone who 'saved' her from an embarrassing situation before she became a self confident deb.
Ladies: Probably a girl like her, someone known for being social and fun.
Their Dealbreakers:unsure.
Pining Style: blush and bluster when in their presence. Act entirely not herself in an effort to impress them.
Timeline: Probably been into this person since her debut. Lady cruses are more likely to be transient and shorter lived.

Character: Luna Wakefield
Their Stats: pureblood - female - straight - 22 - Murderous coroner
They Could Fall For Someone Who:pinnacle of masculine virtue - possible someone she works for, probably of a higher class. Somehow completely unobtainable by her - I think like ideally a vicar, or somehow devout/religious/moral.
Their Dealbreakers: Show ANY sexual interest in her - and she might murder people if you do - or failing to uphold the moral standard she has set for him might also result in murder.
Pining Style: Loiter in the periphery of their life, become a confidant or close friend.
Timeline:Once she sets herself on someone she would be pretty fixed forever

They Could Fall For Someone Who: Any gender though he has a definite preference for males, someone who reads, is intelligent, kind, not a teenager

Pining Style: Would keep it to himself but write anonymous letters and gifts
Timeline: would be a little slow to fall

They Could Fall For Someone Who: Any gender. Pretty/cute types for the most part. Around his own age, ideally.
Their Dealbreakers: being catty or snobby, not quite sure what other dealbreakers he might have
Pining Style: Try and befriend them, especially if they are also male because he won't recognize his own feelings at first.
Timeline: With characters perceived as female, it would depend but fairly quickly. He is a little girl-crazy. With characters perceived as male, he won't recognize his own feelings as being romantic/sexual attraction for... who knows how long.

Their Stats: 32 (but appears 17), ghost (was an UCPB in life), female, whimsical daydreamer
They Could Fall For Someone Who: Male but potentially also female. I have no idea. She would adore heroic or Romantic types a la Dempseys.
Their Dealbreakers: being mean? I honestly don't know right now
Pining Style: Make eyes at them from across the ballroom, hope they ask her for a dance, lowkey stalk him a little
Timeline: She would fall quickly and stay infatuated before moving on either after a few months or when the next handsome man looks her way/hooks her attention

They Could Fall For Someone Who: Someone with a good name on paper and who looks good. Honestly, that's kind of it. She's pretty shallow. Maybe a white knight scenario. She's never even needed to speak with them before. Any gender but not more than 10ish years her elder.
Their Dealbreakers: hmmmm... playing with her maybe? I think most of her dealbreaks would be in an actual relationship because she tends to idolize and see no fault
Pining Style: Think grade school writing their last name next to your first name in your journal. I have a mental picture of her writing- likely unsent - letters and poems in her room.
Timeline: She'd fall quickly and like someone for a while but if pining would be very shallow.

Character: Beatrice Daphnel
Their Stats: 18 ucpb deb, hot mess
They Could Fall For Someone Who: Kind, compassionate, soft spoken, doesn't seek a spotlight, literate. At this point male but I've been surprised before.
Their Dealbreakers: Loud, rude, chaotic, aggressive, forcing her to do things she not comfortable with, sees her anxiety as being unintelligent
Pining Style: Never says or does anything but just kinda watches from a distance, might be a bit less stiff around them but probably not talkative
Timeline: overtime and slow

Character: Anthony Delaney
Their Stats: 29 mchb Healer, big teddy bear
They Could Fall For Someone Who: cheerful, sense of humor, sweet
Their Dealbreakers: cruel, self-centered
Pining Style: Small subtle actions such as going out of his was to offer a hand, flowers, speaking her out in conversation, grant most favors asked, go the extra mile
Timeline: A bit on the slower side but not excessively long but would probably pine for ages.
