Welcome to Charming, where swirling petticoats, the language of flowers, and old-fashioned duels are only the beginning of what is lying underneath…
After a magical attempt on her life in 1877, Queen Victoria launched a crusade against magic that, while tidied up by the Ministry of Magic, saw the Wizarding community exiled to Hogsmeade, previously little more than a crossroad near the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. In the years that have passed since, Hogsmeade has suffered plagues, fires, and Victorian hypocrisy but is still standing firm.
Thethe year is now 1895. It’s time to join us and immerse yourself in scandal and drama interlaced with magic both light and dark.

Did You Know?
Did you know? Jewelry of jet was the haute jewelry of the Victorian era. — Fallin
I hope this finds you surviving exams alright! I always remember this time of year being so hectic before the holiday break begins. I've sent along some sweets from Honeyduke's, hopefully those will help you and your friends get through this!
I am writing with a purpose other than to check in, do you have a spare broom at home? I did not want to look through your things without your permission, but I was hoping maybe you might give me some flying lessons? I was unsure as if you had two brooms to do so, or if a second broom is really necessary. It's all very foreign to me, as you are well aware, but I have a new vested interest and you are the expert.
Mmmm thank you for the sweets. They are much needed right now. Exams are going well enough, just everything going on keeps you so busy.
I believe I have an old broom around the house still. It should be out in the shed - not the garden tools one but the one we keep all the random junk in. It probably needs a bit of a tune-up - I've only really used it once or twice since I've gotten my current one but unless something happened like the shed flooding it should still work just fine with a bit of love. Just please wait till I'm home to look at it, or take it to someone before you'd try to use it. The magic on brooms is a bit like cats - temperamental when they feel they've been ignored.
Of course, I can give you flying lessons, you don't need to ask. But why the sudden interest? You've never wanted to in the past. What about your fear?
I am glad to hear the sweets went over well! I remember studying and forgetting to eat sometimes. Hasn't gotten any better, even in adulthood.
I will look for it when I go home next. I wouldn't dream of trying anything without your supervision. I will get it tuned up before you get home so we can use it. I have a friend who works with brooms, who can easily take care of that. Let's just say that is where the interest comes from. Nothing crazy, just thought I would give it another try.
I don't think I could ever forget to eat. Mmmm. Roast. Minced pies. Jelly Tarts. Potatoes. It is all so good. Especially at home when you smell whatever cook is making. Though I suppose it is different for you now being on your own. But still. It all tastes so good. More satisfaction there than this stupid essay on "the uses of newt spawn in common potions". Ugg, now I want jelly tarts. And to not do this essay.
Sounds like a plan! Let me know if you need any kinda information about the broom for them, I probably remember most of it if not have a record of it somewhere.
