Narcissus turned towards the sound of his name and smiled with a wave as he realized a group of his other friends were calling him over. He was oblivious to the thirst in the girls eyes for his presence but he could sense that they felt they were 'rescuing' him from continuing to be in the company of the fey of a boy they thought 'odd'. Narcissus didn't quite like that, he found.

"And leave the captain of the ship before we have tucked it away completely safe? I couldn't possibly," he said with a laugh, making it apparent in simple actions that the group could either join him and include Clue in their praise of the pumpkin or else leave him be. But Narcissis knew Clue enough by now to know Clue would not be comfortable with the former so he hoped it would be the latter option that they took.

So it was to be the two of them then, and Clue wondered if he'd ever figure out why Narcissus desired a friend like him over friends like — well, those. Regardless, Narcissus had a habit of stifling his distrustful nature and encouraging him to go along with things he wouldn't normally. And so he went along with this.

Taking out his hawthorn wand, the boy performed a hovering charm to guide the pumpkin to where they'd been directed.

He walked with Narcissus, automatically falling into step with him as if he'd done so for years.
