Morgan chuckled at Basil's comment about locking the door behind him. He didn't bother to defend himself against the allegations of ruining young women, because he didn't think there was even the slightest chance that Basil was serious; if he had suspected that his friend had actually gotten the wrong idea, he would have been quick to correct him. "The door took care of that all by itself, actually. You know it sticks, lately?" Lately being progressively over the past several years, but whatever. He also wasn't sure if Basil actually did know about the door sticking, because there wasn't much cause to show guests into the room that had once been used as a classroom for their tutors, but explaining it more was immaterial to the story. "Anyway, once she'd gotten in she couldn't get out, and that's where Annie found the pair of us."
He considered for a second, then continued, "You know, Rachel might have been the better sister in this case. She might have been more scandalized, but I think she'd be easier to bribe. And anyway, she's off to Hogwarts again in less than a week. Not much opportunity to accidentally let anything slip to our mother."
