"Thank you." Malou murmured, keeping her gaze on the crowd as they wove through.

It had been years since Malou had been asked if she were looking forward to the holidays. It wasn't a question easily evaded either. The obvious answer for most people was "yes" but that would be a lie from Malou's lips and she was not in the habit of lying. But to say she was not... she did not wish to appear as the person who did not like Christmas. "A bit." She settled on. She did like the Christmas service and most people seemed rather nicer this time of year. "I confess, though, I usually work through the holidays." Both Christmas and New Years, and her birthday between them. She hoped the explaination would soften any attention to her less than enthusiasic response.
