Alice nodded stiffly. A revival of her friendship with Cameron would only make it that much harder to leave come next spring. Especially if he felt hers was the cause to rally their friends behind. She could only imagine how passionate Sloane would be when she found out, Sisse too. Not that Alice truly wished to discuss this with Sisse.

Looking behind her briefly, Alice turned back to Cameron and replied in a softer, almost broken tone, "If I were to fail it would all be for nothing."
