"Thank you, brother." As relieved as she felt, subconsciously she'd been complacent in her belief that he would take them in the end. It was rare that her brothers denied her anything especially as she seldom asked for the impossible. All the same she felt bad for the apparent distress the prospect was giving him. "I wish I never had to ask it of you at all." A stronger, better person would've been able to deal with it themselves but she'd tried to burn one and her hand had frozen in midair, as if blocked by an invisible barrier. In a much quieter voice she added, "I am sorry I disappointed you."
