Castle is very large. Few trick steps around--watch out. Astronomy tower is high up, don't go to Gryffindor tower or they'll turn you around. Keep an eye out for ghosts some helpful some not Peeves will not help. Library is a nice place to hang out must spend more time there. Parents think its best to keep grades up so costs of school go down. Supplies still bloody expensive, according to mum. Parents want OWLs. Will see what happens. (map on other pages)

Not a ghost but a polterguyst. Does not want to help and will take away your ink and potentially pelt you with it watch out! Alice says she has a friend who continued through NEWTs and once Peeves became armed with a variety of weapons. Glad Alice was not at school. Locked me in a classroom. Dumped juice on my head. Sang a song about some seventh years and courting that was quite annoying and loud. Locked me in a different classroom. Somehow managed to get crystall balls to float after second years. Roommate. Rich. Ravenclaw. Seems to generally not care about school? Lucky gets to stay all seven years probably. Family has something to do with Floo. Bit annoying. Helpful, too--offered to give his father word, might have connections to Floo department(?) in Ministry. Be careful not to get on bad side--father says rich people can ruin your life if not careful.

My age and seems to be kind. Hufflepuff, but spends time with that lot, I think. Nice to chat with, if there's time and also in the same place. Helpful if you need help with Herbology + Care of Magical creatures. A good friend.

Friendly, has the same name as sister Alice--don't get confused (will write 'Alice D. or Miss Dawson, perhaps?) Gryffindor, spends time with that lot. Helping me make a map. Of similar means to me, year younger. Don't know if she has sisters to change name or if she is oldest. Will ask next time I see her. Have not thought about it much. Etiquette is confusing.

Gryffindor, fourth year. Meta-something, changes hair colour. Spends time with that lot. Plays Quidditch? Rather embarrassed myself in front of her apparently, memories feel foggy. Rather, foggier than usual. Must remember to apologize.

Has sisters, use first name? (Madam Benwick needs to make this more clear) Year older than me, I think or perhaps a seventh year. Hufflepuff or spends time with some. Her older brother works at the Ministry. I've sent him some letters and proved helpful. I don't think she knows how money works. Might be due to wealth? Girls past fifth year are usually somewhat wealthy. Alice barely made it, after all.
