Eventually he settled for what had first crossed his mind, impolite or otherwise. “An attacking gnome?” He offered, with an apologetic shrug. Gnomes did live in people’s gardens, after all. “Apparently they can get quite bold if there’s an infestation of them... Are you alright?” he added with some concern, worrying she had actually gotten hurt in the fall, because she was not getting up as he had expected and he was talking about gnomes.
