"I do not want to shake you, Percy. Why would I want to chase the man I love away?" She wasn't sure she'd ever actually said that out right before. Implied,  yes. Said, no. She'd have preferred a far more romantic conversation than the one they were having but the meaning was the same and it served a point. There were worse ways to tell someone you loved them. "There is a difference between shaking and just wanting you to know fully well what you are getting into."

She reached out, placing her hands over his. A soft physical assurance of what she'd said. "Thank you for telling me how you feel. I am glad I can make you feel as if you belong somewhere." How silly is it that my knight in shinning armor feels so about the world I've spent my whole life chasing after.
