Was Sloane the one misunderstanding how friendship worked or did everyone else have unrealistic expectations? Only take the electives they're taking; tell them every little detail about any personal thought they'd ever had; keep the banter to a minimum.

"No, being friends is respecting boundaries on whether or not somebody wants to share personal information." Sloane felt the angry tears prickling at the corners of her eyes. That's what she'd learned from last year's argument with Cam; forcing the issue would only make it explode. So far that was the only instance of when she'd been a poor friend. This did not apply.
