Jess brought his free hand to his scratchy chin, wondering how he needed a shave already. He carefully avoided his bruises while he pondered.

"Stay?" He waggled his eyebrows at her and patted the bed next to him. "Just for a few more minutes?" The nurse had been in shortly before her, after his mother left, so certainly they weren't going to be busted just yet. "Tell me something nobody else knows."
