Cammie cursed to himself as his quaffle was snagged, and by none other than his step-sister. "Bugger off, Bell!" he shouted, a wide smile across his face.
It was then he noticed Selwyn. Large and intimidating as he always tried to seem, there was no hiding the pain he was in. He grimaced. He wanted to think he felt bad that Selwyn had been injured, but he really was dreading the inevitable guilt-tripping he'd be in for once the match ended. How long would it be before he heard something along the lines of "You can't say anything bad about me; the only reason I'm hurt is because I took a bludger for you"? (As if the beater was doing it out of the kindness of his own heart—ha!)
He opted to ignore the beater altogether, making the turn to chase after Maddy. He'd get that quaffle back if he had to run her into the ground (in the most friendly way, of course. Sibling rivalry, right?)
