Philip was greatly relieved when Harper assured him he wouldn't stop coming by. A blush colored his cheeks in response to the idea of needing to develop a new pretext for visits. Would they need to do that? Would people even need to know why Harper constantly came over?

"Had I known, I would have brought a fruit pie or two," Philip said when Harper confessed that he hadn't made a second course or even dessert. "Firewhiskey will do me just fine, thanks."
