There wasn't a standard protocol for this sort of thing, because he probably wasn't supposed to be undoing Ministry obliviations in the first place. If she was going to come and work for them, though, there was no sense in that memory staying hidden, and if she didn't end up making it through the interview, he could always put the spell back in place.
