She was joking, too, so this was progress. It might have still been a bit weak, but it was certainly an improvement on doom and gloom and those things she'd been saying that said very little but implied so much that made his chest sting.

"That's right," he said with a sad sort of smile. "I'm invincible, just about. But you're not," he pointed out. "So maybe we should get out of here. Just in case."
