Melody had fantasized endlessly of what marrying Ben might look like, and never once did she consider it would be under these circumstances. The heavy weight of what the morning would bring pressed on her shoulders, dampening what should've been the happiest moment of her life. It had to be done, she reminded herself. If it wasn't Ben it would be no one and she would be worse off than even the penniless beggars. Melody released his hands, stepping back to consider how they could do this.
