Stopped selling wares at this store, for a start, and then possibly have been investigated by some crony from the Ministry if the damage had been severe enough. Most certainly gotten a lecture from one or both of his older brothers, and possibly endangered his job. This was a happy ending for everyone, at least for the moment.
