If one really wanted to get into the weeds on this sort of thing, there were different recurring themes that tended to be found in curses from certain parts of the world. Gringott's cursebreakers, Ben had heard, actually took a course in that sort of thing so that they could be better prepared when they went in to a temple or tomb.
