Unlike Mr. Cavey, Victor noticed the theft from the feeling of a hand in his pocket. Instead of yelling, he quietly turned to Mr. Cavey. The thief seemed to wish to slip into the crowd of the hospital rather than make a scene of running for it. "Rude is right, he just stole the purse. We must catch up to him without making a scene."
