"I must also confess, had this evening been in honor of any other hospital director, I would have been much more inclined to stay at home tonight." Baxter echoed her words exactly with a small chuckle. Though he would have had to make an appearance if one of his colleagues had been promoted, he certainly would not have stayed long.
