I could see him being friends with either of them but Alvin speaks to me more as a current friend. Calvin wouldn't stare at his burns or be weird about them + same class so they're in more similar life positions. Maybe friendly but not super duper close with Nigel?

Yay for dormmates! Theo was more outgoing back at Hogwarts so Calvin's quietness would not have stopped him making friends. Idk if Cal was always into quidditch to some extent or it's all post-Saffy but Theo might also be a good unsuspecting connection in that sphere. "oh you're really into quidditch now? huh okay" xD

Also yes def Tess overlap in the suffrage sphere! She's probably friendlier to fellow activist types than most other people, so he is welcome to innocuously dig for Saffy-details if he likes xD If he's hanging around the Whitby vicinity he may also have met her as their cousin "Archer"!

Also to a lesser extent: Jude in the activist sphere, Jemima in the Clem-isphere, Effie was in the year below, my many Ministry blokes. xD

Yeah he was into Quidditch before too! Not interested enough to want to play but would've gone to games because it's the house spirit kind of thing to do and he doesn't dislike them. Def moved from "casual fan" to "got the season schedule memorized" post Saffron though.

In my heart he and his sister are like a package deal when it comes to rallies etc, just always called "the Paxtons" and his sister is much louder so everyone assumes whatever she says goes for both of them xD but yessss he's definitely down to listen in/chat up Tess any time at all. He'd be careful not to seem too interested in Saffy specifically but probably asks about family broadly any time he can without seeming odd. If he hasn't already met Archer he would like to, probably quietly thinks it's strange how elusive this guy is given that he's supposed to have an interest in the business >>
