He caught the question in her voice and laughed, amused by the implication. It wasn't entirely out of the realm of possibility for an Unspeakable to accidentally cause some magical chaos, and he did often work in the subject of memory, but he certainly wasn't venturing out and loitering in modistes in the middle of the day to spring traps on unsuspecting debutantes. (He wouldn't necessarily put secretly experimenting on the population outside the comfort zone of some of his colleagues, but even the most clinically heartless of them probably wouldn't have pulled anything like this).
