Today's class had been a bit of a kerfuffle that had left Tells a bit... frazzled. The list of things she needed to do was already quite long and only seemed to grow by the class period. Potions had added not only her homework but the need to check on G in the hospital to ensure her aunt hadn't suffered too horribly from the explosion. (Considering they were only first years in their introductory coursework, she suspected G's clothes and pride had suffered more than anything else.) Once they'd finished cleaning their station, she'd sent Mo on ahead with the explanation that she wanted to swing by G and her dorms to pick up a spare robe for their aunt when she'd realized she'd left her book behind.
For a moment, Stella considered leaving it and collecting it during their next class but she could already hear what Reginia would have to say about it and honestly, her grades were already poorly enough without leaving it behind that she ended up concluding that she best fetch it. A quick in and out and then she could go back to their room. Or at least, it was supposed to be a quick in and out until the surprisingly loud thunk and click of a door shutting - and locking - caused Tells to yelp.
"Can you open it, please?" she questioned, her voice almost echoing into the quiet dark - the same dark that hid her fingers clutching tightly at her skirts. She hadn't paid much attention to who else had been in here with her. It wasn't like she'd been planning to stay and socialize. It was a storage closet after all. But now Tells wished she had. Would they be the type to lock her in a closet? They weren't going to get in trouble for this, were they? She'd tried so hard to behave. Momma and Poppa were stressed enough about them leaving, she really didn't want them to have more to worry about.
