Nigel knew enough about Harry's business to know that he liked to tinker with potions more than anything else. Sometimes if Nigel got his hands on spare dragon-based ingredients, he tried to get them to Harry. "Glad to hear it," he chuckled, raising his pint in salute.

Dull moments were actually what Nigel preferred, but he wouldn't admit it out loud. Typically people who worked with dragons in some way were the kind who looked for excitement; Nigel was the opposite. He would be more than content to read and take notes and research than actually get out there with the creatures themselves. "It has afforded me some travel recently." That was a nice, unexpected perk to the job that he was starting to enjoy more and more, even if it brought him closer to foreign dragons. "Always learning something new at least." That was what kept him going. Dragons were, at a distance, fascinating and he never felt like he was running out of material.

"I spent a few months in Romania in the spring. It was eye-opening." Just the differences among dragon breeds was enough to keep Nigel interested. He hoped to be sent out again sometime in the new year to get some more experience elsewhere.
