What: Opening of the Podmore Lepidopterarium at the Podmore Zoological Gardens

Cost: Donations appreciated as always, normal entrance fee waived for the day, treats and souvenirs available for purchase from local vendors.

After being a big hit at the Potts' Flower Show in May, the Lepidopterarium (butterfly enclosure) became a permanent addition to the zoo. It sits on the muggle side of the zoo and only hosts non-magical species of butterflies. It has been fitted with all of the appropriate flowers and climate to sustain the butterflies. There a two sets of doors on either side to prevent any butterflies from escaping. The building is a large, rectangular, glass conservatory with a circular center, topped with a dome, that has been separated into somewhat different spaces for the multiple kinds of butterflies with their appropriate flowers of choice.

Outside of of the conservatory will be crafts for the local children, flowers for sale, treats from Honeydukes and other various butterfly-themed trinkets.
