Sister,
I write this before departing for the Hogwarts ball, so please forgive my letter's brevity.
Miss Sprout is within my acaquaintance by virtue of Sprout's Evergardens, but I confess that, while she is pretty, I have always assumed her too elevated in standing to pursue with any earnestness. Young ladies may marry above the station of thier birth (as you well know), but for a gentleman to do so is far too reaching.
Miss Farris, however, I shall look out for this evening, at your recommendation.
As to Miss Owens, I find myself curious and vaguely afraid. Catch her?!
Your long-suffering but affectionate brother,
Stan
