There is no need to apologize for your delay in writing — I am pleasantly surprised that you wrote me! That is to say nothing of the carved dragon — I do like it a great deal, and I appreciate your generosity in sending me a gift. Is there anything you would like from home that I can send you?

It is exciting to hear of the news of your adventures with the Longhorns in Romania. From what I can tell, and from what my sister says, the dragons here are doing as well as they ever are. (There was some drama with dragon Nigel in February, but I think Mr. Howell ensured his safety.) The hospital is also as well as it ever is - I will be a full healer in September, and I am very excited about it.
