"Thank you." The words were rote as Sisse started forward again. Yet despite the warning her mind hadn't truly considered it. She walked proudly forward, and promptly tumbled down the stairs into the greenhouse, tangling in her skirts. Her arms whipped out to try and catch herself and instead of doing that, one scraped along the stone, while the other took the brunt of her weight. Sisse's eyes teared up at the pain, but she tried to push it aside. She pushed herself into a seated position, one hand holding her throbbing wrist before she started to force herself to her feet. Her cheeks were bright red with embarrassment. She was such a foolish, foolish girl.
