January 7th, 1894 - Alexandria Rowle Household
Sadie was currently holed up in her bed in her room at her grandmother's house in Wellingtonshire after falling down the last couple of stairs thanks to tripping on her tea gown. Fortunately she hadn't hit her head, otherwise she might get locked away like Rapunzel and never see the light of day again. It was so odd though, her tea gown had never dragged on the floor quite so badly before; it had been tailored perfectly to her height, had she shrunk? Sadie couldn't spare too much thought to it, maybe she hadn't pulled it up as far as she thought she had and that was it.
She had however, really twisted her ankle, or at least that's what she hoped was all that happened. There was a little scrape on her forearm where she'd caught the banister, but that was nothing compared to the pain in her leg. It was being elevated, sitting atop some pillows and iced, but it was swollen quite a bit, painful to the touch and turning purple. A mediwitch had been called to check up on her and she had a book open in her lap. Mostly Sadie was just embarrassed.
A knock sounded at the door and she sat up a little straighter, instantly regretting it. Her short hair hung loose around her ears and she was still oddly brown at the roots. "Hello," she greeted the pretty redhead that entered with a warm smile. "I'm afraid I've had a bit of a fall." Sadie sighed, blushing slightly.
