Wren had been having fun. It was nice to not think about the late professor, especially since she was one of the students unlucky enough to discover the body. She'd heard one of the girls had been pulled out of school. She would have to ask Elliot about that when she got the chance, since he was a first year as well. He probably knew something, even if he was a boy. When the Slytherin girl scolded them, her face burned with shame.

It was just a little bit of fun. Wren certainly hadn't meant to be rude to Coach Crouch, even if it might have seemed that way. She did think it was a little silly to have a Quidditch coach as a Muggle Studies professor, but she'd be nice to him anyways. It wasn't like they could just bring back the late professor in his place, and she would rather have someone teaching the subject, even if she didn't yet understand Coach Crouch.

"What are they called?" Wren asked Miss Moony, genuinely. "Magical schools have names. What are the names of the muggle schools?"

That was slightly more on topic. And she'd know that muggles had schools, obviously! Just not really what they were for if not for magic. For building things, maybe? For writing at least, she assumed that Muggle and magical schools had that in common.
