Dory wasn't sure what to make of Maple's quick change in mood. His bedroom had clearly distracted her from the downward spiral, but now she was giggling. Women typically only laughed like that in here shortly before intimacy began. Maple didn't want that though, did she? They were friends, close friends but friends nevertheless.
