Vince wasn’t sure if Cass’ taking a moment to breath was a good indication of how things were going or a poor one. He figured giving the other space to lead was what he’d needed but now the Slytherin was unsure. Perhaps he was overthinking things in his own slight anxiety. Yes, surely that had to be it, if Cass’ groan was any indication. Vincent tried to press on but he was surprised then as the Gryffindor turned away from him and he hesitated. That look in his piercing blue eyes had said so much that Vince wasn’t even sure he could decipher it.

Running his hand gently, carefully, up Cass’ chest, Vince slowed down his movements. He slid his hand all the way up and around to the back of the blonde’s neck and held on to him there as Cass buried his face in Vince’s shoulder. He almost dared to say something until Cass started kissing him gently along the collarbone. Vince felt a pleasant little shiver rake up and down his spine at the contact and he relaxed. Daring to be bold again, and because Cass seemed rather tense still, Vince ran the free index finger on his left hand down the length of Cass’ chest, stopping to ghost just gently over the waistband. He didn’t wrap his fingers around it, the way he wanted to, to tug Cass impossibly closer and find a friction to them. Instead, Vince just kissed the side of his temple sweetly.

For his part, Cass still had his hands firmly in place on Vincent’s thighs like an anchor, holding him afloat. It was cute in a way, but also impossibly distracting. Vince tugged on one of Cass’ arms with his free hand hoping to pull it away from its perch. They were not going to accomplish anything with his laying here like a petrified tree.
