I am writing to inform you that I have one less finger as it got splinched off in Apparition class. The healer tried to reattach it but it proved to be a fruitless endeavor. I do not know if it is a lack of their skill or if my finger was kept apart from my body too long.

I am finding that it doesn't make much of a difference in my use of my hands aside from a less adequate grip. So, not much change than usual. Though I suppose that might change if I ever get married as my missing finger is the one a wedding ring would be expected to go on.
