"That you are," Sloane conceded, with a hint of a smile. She felt much lighter after telling him, even if nothing was solved really. Just being able to talk about this was helpful. Sisse and Alice had made it pretty clear that they didn't want to talk about it, and though Calla had offered, she still hadn't been ready to spill everything.
Bending to retrieve her discarded broom, Sloane had been too caught up in her emotions that she hadn't really felt that cold, but now after coming down or if the clouds (both literally and figuratively), she could feel it settling into her bones.
