What was with Selwyn and his vendetta? Lucky for Nelson that none of the bludgers had bruised him very badly - but he had been doing more dodging than attacking. Hoping to rectify that, he swung his bat at the nearest bludger, hoping to hit it all the way to Miss Bonaccord terrorising the hoops.

Hermia was mid-bow to Gillenwater, grinning at their newfound camaraderie, when she saw every player's worst nightmare coming her direction. Eyes on the bludger, she could only hope her beaters could redirect the shot or that she could ride out the hit and get back to running up the score.
"Hassani's bludgerbounces off Bell as she streaks up the field to meet her teammates! Both attempts at the Snitchgo fruitless and the little golden ball darts away again!
Bonaccord's shot (after narrowly avoiding Higgs' bludger at her) at the goal seems to revive the Moroccan seeker and he saves the goal!"

Maddy was nearby, but Cameron was determined not to allow her a chance to score against them. He grabbed the quaffle as it bounced off the keeper’s hands and away from the goal, eager to try one more time. (Luckily for them, Abney hadn’t managed to snatch the snitch yet.)
As the Snitch darted away Shula let out a frustrated sigh, and changed the course of her broom darting after the golden ball, she let herself become hyper focused and let the rest of the game fade into the background as she headed again for the ball. She could see the other seeker reaching for it and did her best to interfere and instead be the victorious seeker. She had a feeling that if she wasn't she'd be hearing about it from her captain.
She had hoped to take the game lightly but with Karim on her team she had the worst luck.
Fighting the urge to swear something extremely unladylike in multiple languages, Hermia felt the bludger whiz just past her ear. Apparently, the beaters had tired of kneecaps and decided to rearrange her face. "That's the last time I help you with Charms, Higgs!" She snapped at the mute Eagle, mostly joking. She recovered in time to see her shot fail, but thankfully Gillenwater saved the day. She had to give him credit, the Gryffindor was going to be a delight to face in the regular season.
Admiration short lived, Hermia heard the smack of the bludger that - oh goody - was coming back her way, this one served up by Mr. Amin. Annoyed that she couldn't contribute to running up the team score at the moment, Hermia pulled her broom up and left, hoping to avoid the bludger.
