QWC Match One: Britain vs. Hawaii
#65
Lopaka's grip on the broomstick was tight, as he tried to make his way towards the goalposts. He hoped that the quaffle would be claimed by one of his teammates!

C3 > C2

#66
Ko realized he'd flown right into the middle of a big mess of players and was eager to get away from them again so that he could have ample room to swing a bat. Unfortunately, the quaffle being loose meant he was probably moving in the same direction as most of them.

Lopaka had salvaged quaffles seconds before falling into the oceans a million times. As such, he managed to swoop in and grab the quaffle with a deep dive. With it in his hug, he started flying towards the British goalposts.

C2 > B3

Damn it all.

Becks veered down the pitch toward the bludgers. Maybe he'd whack it at the announcer this time.

Watching his teams make their way up the field Rufus held steady ready to intercept the quaffle as it made it's way back down the field. As a Hawaiian player flew nearer he steered to the middle.

Kokoikikane reached the bludger and decided maybe he ought to try for a bigger target than the lithe little English girl this time, until he'd figured out why his bludger hits were all missing the mark.

What was with the clustering in the match? No wonder nothing was going right. Everybody needed spread the fuck out.

Becks got wind of the second bludger near the hoops and whacked it at the cluster of Hawaiian chasers in the middle of the field, aiming for the male chaser. (Kaimana)

D2 -> C1

Both bludgers were down the other end of the pitch now - and good, maybe, since none of them were having any luck hitting them today - so Tybalt, seeing the Hawaiian beater aiming at this end of the pitch, moved to flank Bixby and block the incoming bludger hit if it came.

D4 -> C4

With the quaffle still in his possession, Lopaka tried to sneak his way out of the cluster of people and towards the goalposts.

B3 > B4

Bloody hell. At this rate Gus was going to get knocked out by a bludger before she so much as scored! Were the Hawaiians as anti-women in quidditch as the British gits?

Too far to do much with the quaffle at the moment, Augusta veered left to get some breathing room. Hopefully away from the bludgers too, eh?

C1 -> B2

gorgeous set by Lady!

It was beginning to look like chaos. Where did the quaffle go? Looking around quickly he caught sight of the bludger coming his way and attempted to dodge.

Kokoikikane hoped that English beater was as bad at blocking as he was at hitting.

"Kokiokikane - did I get that right? Takes aim at Bixby down the field, but it's another miss and Bixby remains unscathed. In his effort though the Hawaiian beater is off kilter enough that a strong gust of wind knocks him into the nearest goalpost. That's certainly going to leave a mark!

Longbottom takes after the other bludger and sends it into the fray- unclear of who he's after, but it missed everyone. Did somebody enchant these bludgers or are these beaters really that bad?"

Shit there was a bludger coming his way. Kirke moved in to block and Rufus sent him a grateful smile as he held his position waiting for the quaffle to come back this way, better then getting caught in the fray up there he reasoned.

What the hell? Ko wasn't about to get pushed around by the wind; he was a wind-surfer for heaven's sake! He was used to this!

Shaking off the dull ache from being blown into a goal post, Kokoikikane swooped towards the nearest bludger and lobbed it as forcefully as possible towards the chaser up ahead. Maybe these English bludgers handled wind differently than the Hawaiian ones did, but he was going to hit this one so hard it had no choice but to fly straight.

Lopaka went steady towards the British goalposts and attempted to score once more. This time he had to get it right!
