QWC Match One: Britain vs. Hawaii

Lopaka took hold of the quaffle and flew closer to the hoops. Then he attempted to score.

Still focused on the incoming bludger, Ko moved towards it and whacked it at the English keeper.

[C3 > D4, hitting bludger at Esteban Zavala]

Having ditched the Quaffle she turned her broom and moved back to the center of the field, singing to herself as she wizzed through the crisp English air. Flashing a thankful grin at her team mate as she zipped past

D4 - D3

#20
Esteban moved to block the attempted score.

As a score was being attempted by his team, he kept an eye on that quaffle, bracing himself if it saw itself coming back his way.

#22
Rufus steered toward the attempted score, ready to catch the rebounding qusffle should it go through or the fumble if it missed.

Damn! The Hawaiians had gone for an early shot at the hoops; Gus, hoping one way or another that the British would soon be in possession of the quaffle, kept an eye out to see if Zavala had it.

C3 -> C4

gorgeous set by Lady!

Arthur flew closer to the hoops, hoping that Zavala pulled off the save.

The beater's bat in his left hand was an extension of his arm as Nakoa kicked off of the grassy pitch. This was not his first time playing abroad, nor would it be his last, but he still yearned for the familiar terrains of Hawaii as he surveyed the arena to get his bearings.

With ease, the beater began his progress down the pitch.

[B2 -> B3]

June 27th, 1890 - Portree Stadium

"And there's a flurry of action for the quaffle- Hawaii comes away with it and heads for Zavala intight formation. Beaters are scurrying for bludgers to interrupt play and Kokoi-Koitoy, uh one of the Hawaiian beaters has taken aim at Pettigrew and it clips in him in the shoulder, but he appears unharmed.

Longbottom returns the favor, taking aim at the Hawaiian chaser with the quaffle- it's a hit right on the arm and she drops the quaffle - she also appears to have an injury to her arm, possibly a broken elbow, but it's hard to tell from here!

The quaffle is loose!

Hey Friends- I know it took me a bit to moderate (I was waiting on YOUR modifiers!) but you need to let me moderate things like direct bludger hits before you get too far; in this case Beckett's roll was higher than Kailani's so his hit changes ALL of the game play at that moment! Everything after that is null and void because the quaffle is now loose, next closest chaser to post claims the quaffle! I left everybody where they were prior to that hit!

Oh no! Kailani was hit by one of the bludgers resulting in her dropping the quaffle. Lopaka sped towards it, hoping to take hold of it before one of the British did

B4 > C4

#28
It was the best thing ever to be in this position again - playing professionally, playing internationally! - and whatever the outcome today, he didn’t want to waste a minute of it. Longbottom had already taken an excellent shot, and so, keen to be of some help, Tybalt hastened across the pitch to help with the bludgers.
B4 -> C4

#29
And the quaffle was in his hands! Lopaka looked around to make sure there were no bludgers coming his way before he made his next move.

C4 > D4

Ooc: I hope this is okay?

#30
Hoping that one of the nearby chasers would make a try for intercepting if Hawaii got any closer to the goals, in the meantime Tybalt reached one of the bludgers and made a swing towards the chaser in possession.

C4 -> D4, attempted hit at Lopaka @"Elsie Beauregard"

Rufus quickly followed the Hawiian chaser who had caught the quaffle, glad for the wind as he steered his broom even closer to the chaser to try and pressure him into dropping it toward a British teammate.

Arthur was, conveniently, near the chaser with the quaffle already - he eyed the bludger and prepared to swoop in if necessary.
