With her siblings and cousins having returned from Hogwarts for the next two weeks, she wanted to spend time with them. Preferably not in a group setting. But it was dinner time and everyone needed to eat. She didn't know how to start the conversation. While she was comfortable talking with her friends and didn't fear saying something stupid, her family was different.

They didn't judge her, well not harshly. But they'd all made it clear how they felt about her... trip over the summer, for lack of a better term.  She was sure they all were relieved nothing terrible had happened to her. They all had a weird way of showing it.

They were all sitting at the dining table, and she was taking a sip of her tea, waiting for someone else to start the conversation. That was when her hand slacked and a vision flashed before her eyes. It confused her enough that drink slipped out of her hand and spilled all over her gown before the cup shattered on the floor.

She was still trying to figure out what the visions meant. Who was that man? And why was she... in a wedding gown?

It was odd to be home. Sybille had been excited but now that she was back she already missed the castle and the relative freedom she'd had from her siblings. Sitting around their dining table Sybille couldnt help but feel like the baby of the family again. Despite that she was still glad to see Ace and Avril.

For the most part they were quiet. Small stilted conversation sprung up here and there now that the questions about school had peppered off.

Sybille was just getting ready to explain the cookies she planned on making tomorrow when Avril's cup clattered from her hands and her eyes took a faraway look. "Avril?" Concern coated Sybille's tone as she stood up and hurried over to her oldest sister. What if the tea burned her? Sybille picked up Avril's napkin to try and sop the mess up.

While they were less close now, Avril and Ace had always been close when they were younger. So the moment Sybille rushed over to Avril, his glance at the older sister was enough to know what happened. While their younger sister tried to help clean Avril up, Ace walked over and put a hand on Avril's shoulder gently. "What was it? What did you see?"

Avril was still puzzling over the very confusing and unnerving vision. She wasn't interested in getting married, and she hadn't been out at balls recently to have even met someone. Except for the night before, and even then she'd only danced with a few people. She'd even almost cried last night. But that was beside the point.

She didn't notice, or care, about the hot drink on her. She'd spilled enough hot drinks on herself over the years when visions came at the worst of times. Still, she had to bite back some cuss words as she came out of thinking over what it could possibly mean. It didn't appear as if she was any older than she was now. Which meant it had to be sometime in the near future, if she could actually believe it.

Which she probably couldn't but that didn't make her feel any better. Honestly, it would have been much easier for her to believe a vision of herself dying a brutal death than herself getting married. She but a gentle hand on Sybill's “I'm fine,” she said softly. "It doesn't burn."

Avril glanced up at her older brother, "I don't... I don't understand what I saw." she whispered with a sigh.

Sybille wasn't entirely sure of the truth of Avril's words but she nodded and stepped back, her young face wrinkled with concern. Just because she was young, not the youngest anymore, but younger than Avril and Ace didn't mean she didn't get to worry and just let the grown ups deal with it. "Maybe it will help to explain it to us." She piped in, determined not to be pushed aside like she was too young for all this.

The young Sybille certainly had the right idea. And it made Ace think about just how much she was growing up. He remembered when she really was the baby of the household. Destined for greatness, as her grandmother and sister had seen. And the signs were also there when the first wand handed to her was a perfect match instantly. He said nothing, simply nodding to what the youngest red head said as he looked back at Avril.

Avril frowned at her siblings. She really didn't want to talk about a vision she barely understood. And one that seemed so outlandish that it couldn't possibly be true. No way, no how. She didn't intend on getting married, especially not to someone whom she didn't know.

"I would rather not." she sighed, a little uncomfortable. She would prefer to write it in her vision's diary instead, like she did with most things she saw that couldn't quiet wrap her head around.

Of course Avril wouldn’t tell them. She never did. Sybille almost pouted before remembering she was supposed to be to do such things. Instead she crossed her arms and gave her oldest sister a stern look. “We can’t help you if you don’t.” Sybille informed her, a bit of petulance seeping into her voice anyway.

As always, Avril was unwilling to speak with her siblings. Ace couldn't help the sigh that escaped his lips. "Sybille is right. And keeping things to yourself all of the time is not good for you."

Avril shook her head at her siblings. She didn't care that they wanted to know, just that it seemed like they weren't going to take 'no,' for an answer.

They did not need to know of her vision. Especially when it wasn't going to happen. But if it wasn't going to happen, why did she care? She really just wanted this dinner over with already. She needed time alone to think over whatever she saw. It was common practice for her, anyway.

"It was nothing, really." she rubbed the shoulder that Ace's hand wasn't on. "Just short flashes of me getting married to someone I haven't met." her tone was basically a shrug, without her actually shrugging her shoulders.

Well that was certainly a shock. To a man she'd never met? Perhaps it meant that she would be courting soon after she debuted? That wasn't the strangest thing in the world. Actually, it seemed rather good for her future. "I'm sure whenever the time comes, you will know him by then." He stated.

At least Ace could back her up. For once though Avril didn’t continue to fight them. Marriage didn’t seem like such a terrible thing, Sybille thought, her arms uncrossing, and if the issue were that she didn’t know the gentleman well Ace was right, she probably would by then. “Maybe you will meet them after your debut this spring.” Sybille piped in with a smile, trying to make sure she was comforting Avril as best she could.

Avril very much doubted their words. She hadn't wanted to tell them, to begin with. She had an odd feeling about the vision -- and it wasn't just that she didn't know whomever was that she saw. It was more, she knew, and that was why she had wanted to write it down before she spoke about it. If she ever decided to.

"Well, now that it is out of way, can we go back to eating?" she grumbled.

At least Sybille had some sense to her. Ever the proper young lady. It would be less of a shock if someone called Avril the adopted daughter from a baker. Sybille at least acted like a willing member of this family. "Alright." He stated with a sigh. Patting Sybille on the head, he went back to his seat.

The look on Avril’s face was rather dismissive. Sybille had felt she had offered a rather adult reasoning, but her siblings never really seemed to see it like that. With a nod, she retreated to her seat and resumed picking at her food.
