Activity Check

Another activity check come and gone! The list of inactive accounts has been compiled and deactivations and list maintenance are underway :) If you lost a character you'd like back, you may post in Maintenance starting Wednesday, 8th January. If you have no currently active characters you can post in maintenance immediately!

(If you lost a character before the AC, you can post there whenever you'd like!)

The new year is a great time for housekeeping! Why not take some time this month to...

• Check your characters' ages! After all, they do have a birthday every year...
  
• Size up those kids! If you have a minor, they may have grown since you last looked at their height ;)
  
• Revisit your want ads! Any that have been filled can be stored via maintenance, and you can request to remove any posts you no longer need there as well. Another good idea is to take a look @ the info in your ads—is it all still accurate? Also, anyone considered as "plottable" should be tied to an actual plot!
  
• Update those profiles! When was the last time you added spouses/children/major events to your profile? For some of our characters (looking at you, Fitzroy Prewett), it could be nearing half a decade xD

Charming's rules have been updated.
The staff team has taken a look at the board's rules, which hadn't been updated in quite some time. Kayte forgot we had them written down. There have been no major changes and a lot of it has just been codifying what was common knowledge/practice, but it's always good to have these things written down! Changes of note include:

• Formally stating our disdain for JKR's bigotry and our support for the LGBTQ+ community.
  
• Moving bits and pieces around to where they make more sense.
  
• Mentioning that the Discord exists, which wasn't a thing the last time rules were touched.
  
• Community standards around AI, which also wasn't a thing the last time our rules were touched.
  
• A bit more guidance on the levels of content available in various places (tagged posts, untagged posts, thread titles).

The next AC is in six days, on February 2nd! Please ensure that:

• Your mini-profile is filled in
  
• All of your characters have been listed in the Character Directory—check back on your entries to make sure they were processed properly! Anyone reactivated this month will need to be placed back on.
  
• Characters made before the last AC have posted at least once since the last AC
  
• Profile has been filled in if not done during acceptance (Did you get a "DIY" PM? You'll need to do this!)
  
• Your character's height is displayed in their mini-profile—if you reactivate an account, this may need doing!

And because it is that time of the month again, posting wizard signups are open for February!
